Overview

Mysore (or Mysuru), a city in India's southwestern Karnataka state, was the capital of the Kingdom of Mysore from 1399 to 1947. In its centre is opulent Mysore Palace, the palace blends Hindu, Islamic, Gothic and Rajput styles. Mysore is also home to the centuries-old Devaraja Market, filled with spices, silk, sandalwood and rosewood artifacts, stone sculptures, incense sticks, inlay work with ivory and its exquisite silk sarees.

Kodagu, also known as Coorg, is a rural district in the southwest Indian state of Karnataka. In the area’s north, Madikeri Fort has 2 life-size elephant statues at its entrance, plus a Gothic-style church with a museum on its grounds. Nearby, the Hindu Omkareshwara Temple dates to the 19th century. Farther north are the domed Raja’s Tomb, a burial place of Kodava kings, and cascading Abbi Falls.

Ooty (short for Udhagamandalam) is a resort town in the Western Ghats mountains, in southern India's Tamil Nadu state. Founded as a British Raj summer resort, it retains a working steam railway line. Other reminders of its colonial past include Stone House, a 19th-century residence, and the circa-1829 St. Stephen’s Church. Its 55-acre Government Botanical Garden lies on the slopes of Doddabetta Peak, highest peak of the Nilgiri mountain range.

Attractions

Raja’s Seat – It is a garden where the kings of Kodagu (Coorg) are believed to have spent their sunsets enjoying the scenic change of the sky colours. It was also their recreational space, where they spent time with their queens.

Madikeri Fort – A unique fort that houses among others a temple, an Anglican Church, a prison, and a museum.

Abbey falls – River Kaveri drops for about 70 ft over wide rocks creating a spectacular view. Its near Madikeri city

Dubare Elephant Camp – A place where you can get one-on-one with your biggest (quite literally) dream

Namdroling Monastery – The largest teaching centre of the Nyingma lineage of Tibetan Buddhism in the world

Nisarga Dham – An Island formed by river Kaveri a picturesque picnic spot adorned with lush foliage of thick bamboo groves, teak trees, and sandalwood

Maharaja's Mysore Palace – Built by the Wodeyar kings in the 14th century, designed by the famous British architect, Henry Irwin, it was built for the twenty-fourth Wodeyar Raja.

St. Philomena Church – A remarkable Gothic architecture drawing inspiration from Cologne Cathedral of Germany

Jaganmohana Palace – Also known as Sri Jayachamarajendra Art Gallery, is a royal mansion, arts museum, and auditorium, and formerly an alternative royal residence of the ruling maharaja of Mysore

Brindavan Garden – A garden with the musical fountain with bursts of water synchronised to the music of songs

Ooty Lake – An artificial lake constructed by John Sullivan, in 1824 with water flowing down mountain streams

Coonoor – A hill station known for its tea estates in the surrounding Nilgiri hills. Sim’s Park is a sprawling public garden with plants like rhododendrons, roses, and eucalyptus trees.

Itinerary

Day 1 - Arrival in Bangalore
Once you reach at Kempe Gowda international airport in Bangalore you will be well received by our Tour Appreciator who will then take you to the designated hotel for overnight stay. Check in at the Hotel and just get some sleep
Day 2 - Bangalore to Coorg
Today you will start bit late for the day due to early morning arrival from your home town. Have a hearty Breakfast, and then we will start our journey to Coorg. Enroute you will have lunch and then we will reach by high tea time in Coorg. First, we will visit Raja’s seat, a location in the middle of the garden called as Gandhi Mantap. After sun-set will check in at the hotel and post dinner relax for the day
Day 3 - Discover Coorg
Rise and shine early today and after breakfast, let us start exploring Coorg. First stop for the day is Omkareshwara Temple followed by Madikeri fort and Abbey falls. Once you have thoroughly enjoyed the day let us return to the Hotel for dinner and overnight stay
Day 4 - Coorg to Mysore
Today after break-fast, check out from the Hotel and let us proceed to Mysore enroute visit Dubare Elephant camp where you can come face to face with this giant beautiful animal. You can take elephant safari at a cost payable, onsite if safari is available. Next stop Namdroling Monastery Golden temple followed by Nisarg Dham. Our last stop for the day would be at the Hotel where we will have our dinner and overnight stay
Day 5 - Explore Mysore
Let us start our day with hearty break-fast and then visit Mysore palace. You may spend the whole day appreciating the architectural beauty and museum at palace. But we must push ourselves to our next stop Philomena’s church yet another great example of Gothic architecture followed by Jagan Mohan Palace. Our last stop today will be Brindavan Garden wherein we will enjoy site of the musical fountain. Let us return to the Hotel for dinner and overnight stay
Day 6 - Drive from Mysore to Ooty
After breakfast, we will check out from the hotel/resort and proceed to Ooty, enroute visit pine forest, Nilgiri forest. We will reach Ooty and first check-in at the hotel and after quick settling in we will now visit Ooty lake a man-made lake with vibrant surrounding
Day 7 - Stroll in Ooty
Post breakfast today we will proceed to Coonoor. Coonoor sight-seeing (Sim's Park, Lam's Rock, Dolphin Nose and Ketti Valley - beautiful scenic views of the valley). Also visit Tea factory, Tea Museum. Once fully exhausted we will head back to the Hotel for sumptuous dinner and over-night stay
Day 8 - Stroll around Ooty
Let us finish our break-fast and start our stroll around Ooty. We will start with Karnataka Garden, Rose Garden, Doddabetta Peak – highest point on Nilgiri mountain range. We will stay overnight in Ooty and set ourselves for tomorrow
Day 9 - Ooty to Bangalore
Today we are starting our return journey to Bangalore. After breakfast we will check-out from the Hotel and start journey towards Bangalore. Enroute we will visit Dariya-Daulat Bagh Srirangapatanam we will see Dariya Daulat Bagh, Fort Tipu, and Sri Ranganath Swami temple. On arrival in Bangalore, we will check-in into the Hotel and relax for the day
Day 10 - Bangalore City Tour
Today post break-fast we will tour the Bangalore city and visit Lalbagh, Bull Temple, Indira Gandhi Musical fountain and ISKON Temple. Once we are through with our day tour, we may do some shopping and pack our bags for journey back home. We will be dropped at Bangalore international airport for return journey. Our tour concludes today

o Cost of any permit or other fees in addition to general admission fees at any attractions

o Travel Tickets / Sight Seeing tickets are subject to availability in same class

o A valid Tourist Visa or unexpired and valid OCI/PIO card for the duration of the tour
